hey guys - I couldn't find a better category to post this - sorry if it's in the wrong section.

I just bought a 55 inch monitor for DCS. It was over $2,000 and if it will work well - great.

It's still in the box, and I was thinking...

With trackIR, having a huge monitor like that can be a big problem. Because for example if I rotate my head to the left, now my eyeballs have to look ALOT to the right to actually see the center of the monitor.

So essentially, the bigger the monitor, the more your eye balls have to move when applying any head rotation.

Does what I'm saying make any sense?

Is there some reasonable limit with screen sizes and trackIR? Maybe 55 inch is too big?

Thank you!!!

You have full control of TrackIR curves in the TrackIR software. You may have to ‘experiment’ and adjust these if moving up from a smaller monitor but can’t see it being a problem, just adjust to what is comfortable and suits you best. You don’t ‘have’ to move your head further, from side to side, just because you have a wider monitor.

You can adjust the curves so that by turning your head 30⁰, you'll be looking directly behind you (180⁰). Makes for a little more sensitivity/jitteriness, but even that can be smoothed out with sample rate.
