cfrag Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 It seems that the (fantastic) L2MUM drone video feature is being a bit conservative when it comes to showing targets. Since currently we don't know which target a drone is actually engaging, it seems that the drone footage is simply from any of the detected targets that the controller returns. I propose some amendment: only latch on to a detected target that is alive. More to the point: change the video feed when a target is destroyed. Currently, if I destroy the entire group that a drone is engaging, the video still stays on the burning husk of the video it initially showed. Oh, and I'm fully aware that the current implementation of L2MUM is hampered by DCS's abysmal API - it's currently not possible to get any information about which target a drone (or other aircraft) is engaging even though there is an "engageUnit" task that can be passed to a controller. 2
Fakum Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 I have been annoyed by this as well! Thanks for posting up on it. Here's hoping Polychop have access to a deeper UI that can get that information and use it to move the camera to follow the drone's target. 1
