Kuky Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) I wouldn't say so surely that doing a Cobra in dogfight against one oponent is a sure death... if you are already in a turn and enemy cannot get a shot at you and is really close... slowing down like that and forcing him to overshoot then being able to exit out of the manouvre this time pointing nose at the bandit is a good thing, only timing has to be right and you still have to have very good SA. Scisors actually do exactly this... make your oponent overshoot... Cobra would be doing the same only it does it in vertical and not in roll. Sure thing, if you find yourself so slow like that and enemy is not right with you and is about to shoot, it means certain deth... but in dogfight I would not say so. RvEYoda Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 in a guns only fight, the cobra does not have much use, but when the missiles come into play...hehe I've scored a lot of kills this way, but, if you miss.....Uh oh... ur gonna eat it! S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). This generates the ultimate sparse matrix, an m-by-n all zero matrix. - Matlab help on 'sparse'
Boberro Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) I use Cobra in CAC bur sometimes I am too close of ground so I kill enemy but it is death movement for me also. Edited May 9, 2009 by Boberro 1 Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
