dresoccer4 Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 When I force trim the pedals by twisting my joystick, I see the little icon move to where I have the pedals, however as soon as I press the trim button the sim then extends the pedals even further (trim location + current joystick twist) which always jerks the Kiowa around and isn't a smooth transition at all. It automatically thinks the trim location is the new center, so everything is now relative to that. The Huey doesn't do that as far as I can tell. Does anyone else encounter what I'm talking about? In the screenshot, the white vertical notch is where I twisted my joystick to and pressed force trim. But as soon as I do that the sim then pushes the pedals even further to the red line which spins the chopper. This isn't how I want to trim, as I want to only move the pedals to the white line. cthulhu68 Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 Do you have it set up as Instant Trim? Looks like what happens with Central Position trim mode if you release trim button and stick/rudders are not centered. Another thing to check is that Force Feedback is unchecked in Misc options. Some have had trim issues with that checked. Or maybe just how you're trimming. Are you maneuvering then quickly tapping trim or holding in trim, maneuvering, releasing trim. I tend to hold in trim while making adjustments with Kiowa since it doesn't get to squirlly with SAS disengaged.
