huppel Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 Hi, I have an artifact in VR that is driving me nuts, it is totally breaking the immersion. Somehow I see a "transparent square" which makes everything outside that "box" a little darker and it also changes the ground shadows when displayed. As the colour differences move with the head movement, although the difference is not that big, it is very noticeable. I tried to make screenshots (very zoomed in) to show what I mean: Here on the red guards you can see (part of) the lower line of the box, it moves with my head movement (so this only a small segment as it is zoomed in, in reality it is more like a square where the center is the center of my view ). Here a zoomed in part of F2 view: see how the shadow is more visible on the outside of the box. I have this in all modules as well as in cockpit as external view. (it is not visible in the main menu) and only in VR. I also do not see it in other games. Tried a lot of different things to get rid of it: steamvr vs openxr, clean, repair, changing a lot of the DCS settings to see if that would have an influence etc but all to no avail. Am I the only having this? (I'm using a Pimax crystal by the way) Is there a way to get rid of it? Best regards, Marcel
Phantom711 Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 (edited) Are you using Quad Views Foveated Rendering in Fixed mode? Because to me it looks like also the resolution is different in the 2 parts.
