F4-E: No Cockpit view after update to DCS 2.9.6

Hi,

I have a weird problem with the F-4E after updating to DCS version 2.9.6.58056. I moved directly from 2.9.5 so I don't know if the problem would have occured with intermediate versions.

When I start the F-4E, after the mission breifing, I do not get into cockpit view but start in map vie. F2-F10 work an I can see other aircrafts (not mine though). But F1 does not work. In the controls settings, F1 is correctly set to control the switch to cockput view.

I have the same behavior, when doing a fast start, training missions or when starting from the mission editor.

I tried with my other modules (BF-109 and P-51D) and they just show the cockpit as usual. I can also switch to outside view and back.

I used the "DCS Repair". The only thing that was replaced is the HeatblurJester.dll.

Another weird behavior: I can only start DCS once. When quitting to desktop and restarting, the F.4E module is not authorized. So I have to use DCS repair again, declare the HeatblurJester.dll save in my antivirus and copy the file by hand.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards

Peter

Most likely your anti virus is removing the file that is needed. Restore it, add DCS as an exception to your anti virus software run a repair again just to be sure and then it should be sorted.
