Hi, does anyone have a list of correctly formatted aircraft names for the saved games\mods folder? I'm having issues with F-18/F16/15 & A10 mods and i think it maybe because i have not formatted the aircraft type's name correctly when creating a folder for each type.

Cheers

Hi,

Actually, on the DCS Saved Folder you can rename each Mod folder to whatever makes sense to you, there is no single correct name, because the Mods do not reference their own folder name. For example, at the moment I have these Mods active:

I have renamed their folder, adding a version number if known, and their author's names. However, when run within DCS their names are not the ones of the folder they live in, but the name their developer gave them, like this:

Same can be done with ships and ground unit Mods.

Can't say much about those issues with the info you provide, but for sure it is not about their folder names.

Thanks for ther reply.

I'm not talking about modules like you have shown above.

I thought that mods skins etc had to go into a folder named after the aircraft.

🙂  ok, sorry that I misunderstood you, the term "mods" threw me off, because a livery or skin its not really a mod ... at least according to ED's file classification:

As you say, the liveries have to be grouped according to their internal designation .. I don't know any official list of such designations, but I can offer what I currently use:

Hi, thanks for the list.

Apologies for the incorrect terminology. I wish though that they would keep the naming convention the same for the likes of the F-18 etc.
