baboeska Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Hi there, Trying to bring up the NA's special night vision sensor, the DMT, onto the HUD display for proper nap of the earth night time flying, I encountered major issues with pressing a jumble of buttons on the sensor select switch/TMS hat, you know the one. I'm wondering if the issue is at my end, or if the Harrier's DMT is borked at the moment? Thank you :)
BJ55 Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 (edited) The HUD was in night mode? Edited July 30, 2024 by BJ55 I7-12700F, 64GB DDR4 XMP1 3000MHz, Asus Z670M, MSI RTX 3070 2560x1440 60Hz, TIR 5, TM WH VPC base, TM rudder, Win10 Pro
Marsvinet Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 DMT is the TV/Laser sensor in the nose. It does not project onto the HUD, only onto the MFCDs. You're looking for the FLIR, which is displayed on the HUD by having it in night mode, as BJ55 stated, then pressing Sensor select down twice slow(NOT Aft!). That should toggle the FLIR picture on the HUD.

I had trouble with this until I realized I was confusing the AUTO position of the HUD mode switch with the true NIGHT position. Make sure you flip it all the way down. It is kind of hard to see at NIGHT without some cockpit lighting or Flashlight. Edited August 5, 2024 by Recluse
