Mission 8 borked for me

I have tried it 4 different times with four different mission breaking results with the last mission I actually kept as a trk file. First go 'round I made it up to where the positions are marked by smoke. Ugly 5-1 did mostly nothing, I ran out of ammo, went back to FARP to see if there's a way to rearm and refuel, no dice. Second go, init contact after incident, 5-1 goes in, I follow, targets neutralized, nothing follows. 3rd same situation as two however Ugly 5-1 goes back to FARP after contact is neutral, progression halts. Last one 5 flight relieves Boss flight. A10 out 30seconds, nothing follows as I practice formation flying for about 15 minutes, hard with a toddler on your lap. Was tempted to bugger off to an American Base for some Macdonald's, prefer a shawarma, but it is what it is. 

Fourth flight had one parameter change, and that was the loadouts. I switched to all rockets in the mission planner. I wonder if that's what broke the campaign

There's a major issue with AI not engaging correctly, plus others

 

I have released updates to ED and they're ready for next patch, so hopefully all will be fixed

Ah, Ok thanks. Well, if anything, I used it as a formation flying training mission then lol. Guess I'll park the Adventures of Dim and Foggy for now.

couldnt get past the first targets (some inf in a row), when 5-1 calls shooter/cover and dives on target, after he pulls up, we are back in orbit, nothing happens. Inf was all dead swacked by 5-1 with rockets (though he called guns) xD

2nd try same result. Formation training.

Most mission seem to end this way when AI is taking lead sry. hope you or ED get if fixed soonish.

maybe i do sth wrong dunno. tried another two times and after the first engagement by 5-1 there is nothing. 

I looked in ME an he is engaging group ISIS 2 with weapon usage set to "auto" in the target point. Group ISIS 1 is set to "guns" in ME.

will try to engage group ISIS 1 on my next try, but George hasnt found any targets when i was scanning the whole are last time... so dunno if they did "spawn" at all

It's a core DCS AI issue. I've released new files to ED to sort this issue

As previous stated above, M8 is broken but fixes have been released to ED for the next update

Mission 8 worked for me - and it's a good mission!

My observations:

The KDU wouldn't accept the grid for the ejection site to store it as a WP/CM - so I had to V'id the location.

Be prepared to have to run in on targets given to 5-1 by Sandy - 5-1 seems to not like engaging...

AI not engaging is a core DCS issue, that I have tried to overcome with fail safes in the next update
