@PryingMantis Don't know if you already taken these measures:

The new DLSS 4 preset "K" does real magic. Especially if you run the lower DLSS settings like "performance". The outcome depends highly on which gen of RTX GPU you are of course.

i9 13900K @5.5GHz, Z790 Gigabyte Aorus Master, RTX4090 Waterforce, 64 GB DDR5 @5600, PSVR2, Pico 4 Ultra, HOTAS & Rudder: all Virpil with Rhino FFB base made by VPforce, DCS: all modules

@RealDCSpilotThanks for the heads up! @correcasent me a similar one the other day. I haven't had a chance to set this up as of yet, but do have a question perhaps you can answer. Last night I installed an Nvidia patch that mentioned DLSS4 preset K override. If I go into the Nvidia app --> Graphics --> DCS, the option to force it on is available in the drop downs under --> DLSS Override - Model Presets, Frame Generation, and Super Resolution. I can change these but once applied it says "Support not detected."

Do you have any knowledge on this? Is it taking effect regardless, or is this something that ED has to build into DCS for it to work?

FYI I have a 3070ti I'm running.

I simply don't use the Nvidia app. My first fundamental step of performance optimization is to use NVcleanstall to get rid of all Nvidia bloatware and stuff that i never need to have on my system. Nvcleanstall takes Nvidia's huge chunk of driver package, distills the components you choose and recompiles the installer. In normal cases you would only need the pure driver, HD audio and PhysX. The latest NV driver versions, also include the now implemented newest DLSS dll files which are now installed system-wide on your computer. In NVCleanstall this component is a bit strangely named "NVIDIA DLISR". Once you have everything installed correctly, you can simply start the latest Nvidia profile inspector tool and apply the DLSS 4 override globally on your system. (Or for each single game profile, your choice...) There are at least 5 settings in the profiles that need to be set after each new driver installation. Simply check my post and the video in there.
As far as i know and how i see it working on my end, ED has nothing to do extra for it to make it work. They still need to have the DLSS API implementation and distribute the dll files with the game, but each Nvidia owner can now choose to make the system wide override that totally ignores those dll files.

@PryingMantis Your graphics card does not support Frame Generation. You should not modify this parameter.

With these settings you are forcing all games that support DLSS to use the latest dll that comes with the nvidia driver, supporting DLSS 4, instead of the one that was installed with the game.

Thanks for all the helpful feedback/information. It's been great to get back in the seat and fly again thanks to your help.

I do recommend anyone with PSVR2, or thinking of getting one due to the affordability and valid replacement for the Reverb as WMR gets phased out, check out the Globular Cluster PSVR2 custom headband replacement. Between this comfort upgrade, and the already much lighter PSVR2 helmet, this makes it extremely comfortable and easy on the neck when spending a couple hours flying.

Yes, it turns a pretty comfortable headset into a very comfortable headset and, perhaps more importantly, it comes with plenty of options to suit different head shapes and preferences.
