Glide Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 I was having trouble getting the gun pipper with radar to smoothly align to the target in my PG Dogfight mission. I deleted everything but the fighters, and suddenly the pipper is smoother, smooth enough to pick out an engine on a Mig-29. I couldn't do that before. I am wondering if this old issue may have been related to threading and too much load on the thread that handles that component. This is the mission: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3329069/ Delete the ground units and everything except the fighters and save a copy. Then compare. I don't think a track will demonstrate this issue.
ED Team Solution Lord Vader Posted August 12, 2024 ED Team Solution Posted August 12, 2024 Hi @Glide Overall performance of graphics and/or instrumentation varies a lot between systems. Adding or deleting items in missions can certainly affect it. If you do feel this is an issue and not a need for optimization you can record a track and, if possible, a video with the FPS counter shown for our analysis. 1 Esquadra 701 - DCS Portugal - Discord
Glide Posted August 12, 2024 Author Posted August 12, 2024 I am having issues reproducing the improvement because the AI keep improving. That's all good. Keep these improvements coming.
