user resolved No visual afterburner as before F18 c

Hi, I am a newbie so this may seem a dumb question to some. 

I use to have a series of red rings behind the tailpipes when in "Burner" which has now disappeared.

I see the tailpipe vanes open when it's activated but no VISUAL as before. 

Cannot find what I have switched off or changed so any help welcome,

You may need to zoom in a little. The rings are not a pronounced as they used to be but they are still visible.

Thank you but even very very close up I have no red colour or rings at all !! I still get the power ssssurge but not the visual stuff it seems

Hey @SKYWARRIOR

We would need a screenshot of what you are seeing as we cannot reproduce the issue you describe.

Furthermore, make sure your throttle axis is really in max AB position.
I would also try to make a repair on your DCS (using the Launcher) just to make sure no older texture/effect is acting up.

Do you have any mods installed?  That doesn't look right at all which implies something interfering and mods are the 1st suspect.

Hi, None that I am aware of except "The Way" and I dont have faith in that either as it comes up with some waypoint thousands of miles away sometime but not always.

This may be due to using more than one screen although my Courier 45`' is set in options to one screen. I have two others that hold things like Discord and notes and "Chucks guide".and
 will remove "The way " when we have the new GPS location tool which I understand will be here soon.

It was not always like this. I had red rings and full on "Burner" graphics at one point when I started DCS  F18 about 4 months ago. Apart from that nothing. I have a new computer and new drives all SSD  and DCS occupies one T drive on its own with nothing else on that drive.

Hey @SKYWARRIOR

Once more, I can't reproduce this at all. Can you check your options to see if you have your axis mapped all the way to the very limit? 

There's also an option in the Special menu where you can set an afterburner detent. Have you tried turning this on/off? 

If all is well, I can only think of mods interfering with the animation or an older metashader file that may need refreshing.

NOW here's a thing ! I was invited to a multiplayer session at the weekend on a server in the USA that I connect to many times as he is a long term friend and flyer.

I suddenly realised when looking at an exterior view to see 4 Jsows drop in unison that the after burner was perfect and visual when I banked away after the drop !! 

So it works on the server but not on my own home setup ! I have cleaned and tidied DCS only two days before thinking there might be a cause that was noticed but nothing much showed up and this was two days before the above multiplayer event

So it's solved ! "after burner always on " in settings for f18 AND the use of Whart Hog calibration tool to recalibrate my throttle stick.

Now the rings and the red glow appear as before
