Mike_CK Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 (edited) I love them, find them infinitely better than the ED/publisher Manuals and would happily pay $$$ for them. While I appreciate the work put in on the F-4 manual, I’m really looking forward to the layout and graphics you get with chucks. So…has anyone heard if Charles is planning on doing an F-4 guide or- assuming he is- how far off it may be? I know the mud hen guide just came out and that module is a year old…but the F-4 has FAR fewer systems and is a much less complex platform: so I wouldn’t think it would take nearly as long.to put together the documentation. cloose Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 As far as I know this was his lastest update about his plans: You can support him via Patreon which gives you also early access to the guide drafts. And there is a quick guide already: https://www.patreon.com/posts/phun-phriday-104554379 1 1
GrEaSeLiTeNiN Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 (edited) Looking forward to Chuck's guide too. I dislike the Heatblur manual with all those greyed out photos. Not the best way to reference pit switchology. In some instances, even the text that describes the functions of the switch being taught are in the greyed out part. And if you want to see what's around that switch for context, you can't or won't bother because they are all dimmed out. The manual does not quite match up with the otherwise excellent module IMO. Could you point those out so that we (or the community, since the manual is open-source) can fix it? Thanks. 1

Thanks. Since such a format was adopted, it's all over the manual, especially in the cockpit instruments sections. Zabuzard Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 Ah, you mean the in-cockpit labeling of the switches/knobs. Fair, I misunderstood you.
GrEaSeLiTeNiN Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 Ah, you mean the in-cockpit labeling of the switches/knobs. Fair, I misunderstood you.I hope it can be improved - at the very least the labels of the switch or button being explained should not be in the greyed out area for obvious reasons. 1 AMD Ryzen 5 5600X | Gigabyte RTX 3070 Gaming OC 8GB | 64GB G.SKILL TRIDENT Z4 neo DDR4 3600Mhz | Asus B550 TUF Plus Gaming | 2TB Aorus Gen4 TM Warthog HOTAS | TrackIR 5 | Windows 10 Home x64 | My HOTAS Profiles
