I started mission 8 climbed to meet tanker and for the life of me I cant get the probe to latch to the drouge it just flies right thru the center of the basket every time. maybe a bug? I went and tried the DCS missions default AAR and I cant even get a ready precontact callback or deploy the basket. Anyone else having issues or just me? Done AAR dozens of times never had this issue.

Hi,

I'll check today.

In this mission it's important that the lead contacts the tanker before you and you take the right basket. But this of course doesn't explain if there are problem in the default AAR mission.

Hi,

I wasn't able to find the problem. I had a normal AAR behavior in the mission and with DCS AAR training mission.

I had the same issue, I did wait for lead to connect but wouldn’t work on the right.

Eventually I switched the left after it was free and plugged no problem.

we are obviously doing the same thing wrong! Awesome campaign so far Sandman!

I'll check. It's also possible that AAR system has been changed somehow, again.

I don't know why that happens to you but I still can't reproduce the problem. Lead took the left one and I had no problem connecting the right one.M8 AAR.jpg

I had the same probelm in M13: Impossible to refuel on the right hose. No problem on the left. I seem to remember plugging on the right in M8.
In M13 I arrived after Lead already had finnished. I wonder if that is the problem... (If left is not in use, then right is not working? Something to test...)

It might be just as you said. Left one is used first and if the lead has already finished it is possible you need to use left one.

Yes, I double-checked this creating a simple mission with a 2-plan flight and asking my wingman to "go to tanker". If I then call the tanker I will get the starboard hose. If I call the tanker first and then ask wingman to hit the tanker, I will get the port hose. Played around a bit on this and pretty sure this is how it works.

I'll add this instruction into the missions
