Hi Cyking

 

Just bought the campaign, 3 missions in. Some feedback:  I'm a little annoyed with the sound as the voice-overs only play in one ear (using headset). Also, to be frank, the quality of the recordings is very uneven.

Thank your feedback. To be honest, it is intended with the voice overs / radio calls play only on one ear. So the dialogs of Lex for example are only on left side. Tower and other on both. 
Regarding the quality, i will try to improve that in future.

Ok thanks for the clarification. I don't think it is a good solution but always good to know that it works as intended. FYI in the Routine work mission the voice-over is totally drowned out by the engine.

Yeah, was a try maybe next time I won't do it again. I will take a look at the voice overs again, but for me it was fine. Not sure what sound settings you have in game, like enabeled "in Helment" sound etc. Usually all VO's are nearly 10-20 db above normal. DCS somehow needs some extra boost. But I agree there is still room to improve, already working on new filter settings for the future.

came here to second this. I'm on Routine Work and when I'm landing at the fence the voice audio is essentially unrecognizable. I have to read the text for everything. here are my audio settings:

Thank you for your feedback. I will take a look at voice files again. Just to clarify, the VO are not loud enough for you or to much distortion?

i think it's both. hard to hear voice over the engines, and it was garbled
