Pirke77 Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 problem is next : i make good terrain with 100x100 km but when i try make it bigger i have problem in 3dmax :( what is biggest possible terrain for work with? i get in 3dmax some ''memory overflow'' and i can export .lsa2 file. with 100*100 work great but this is small area :( what is wrong here ? how can i work with bigger terrain in 3dmax ??? any tips to make it right :)

When exporting for the second or third time, select the same .lsa2 file. You need to move it to where you want it to be, export it, then re-compile the scn file pls some pictures from 3dmax how to do this modify .rn file ? any way i try to export .rn file when i put it on right place i get airfild on this place on pictures :( noting change at all no mater i change in coordinate in 3dmax:( this part ''re-compile the scn file'' i dont understand how to do it :(

I extract Anapa.rn but always i get wrong position and wrong orientation(0-180) of runway on F10 view. in game on terrain runway is on good coordinate and orientation (110-290) and look very good.( .sup file is ok) in .rn files i have only this: ˜ њ ¤ Anapa.max noting more pls Edited October 24, 2010 by Pirke77

luckybob9 Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Since so many people are asking about how to create runways and use the assemblescenes program, I have created a tutorial with a voiceover that should help. I recorded it yesterday but I need some time, (hopefully only a few days), to merge the video files with the audio file. The tutorial assumes that you already have the ground mesh created. Included in the tutorial will be: Assigning textures to the mesh making sure/ verifying that the dummy/ helpers are linked to the mesh verifying that the part that the runway on is flat exporting the lsa2 exporting the .rn file by only selecting the spline and nothing else exporting the .sup file by only selecting the only part copying all the files into the correct folders editing the assemblescenes.cfg with the correct information running assemblescenes.bat to compile the .scn file deleting the current .scn and replacing it with the one that has been newly created and testing it ingame 1 Nevada map contributer EDM Modeling tools FAQ: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1418067&postcount=1 Seo libh a chairde is chanadh liom.
