ZoomBoy27 Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 I'm doing some scouting of sevastopol for a campaign I'm doing and I noticed some buildings. that look strange. next to a forest?? They're at N44 33 00 E33 35 07 I'll be calling them monuments - mision fails if they are damaged But does anyone know what that is. Thanks ZoomBoy My Flight Sims Page - Link to My Blog - Sims and Things - DCS Stuff++ - Up-to-Speed Guides to the old Lockon A10A and Su-25T - Some missions [needs update]
plug pray Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Yes, u're right. they are monuments. I guess it's the center of that park around. It's a museum, i guess.... something 'bout ww2... Though I have never been there...
SwingKid Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 That is "Sapun-Gora": http://crimea.webservis.ru/sapun.html It is a site dedicated to the liberation of Sevastopol from the Germans in 1944, with a memorial to the soldiers who gave their lives. It shouldn't cause mission failure to damage these sites, unless the mission designer has intentionally set them as "SURVIVE" Mission Goals (i.e. it is part of the designed mission objective for the player to avoid collateral damage to this particular historic site). Which mission are you playing? -SK

KILSEK Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Hi all. B_R_D, I am looking forward to this next mission you got going on. You posted a list of monuments so long ago and I have it copied. I am thinking I may enjoy some cigars and Crown, take an Eagle and do some sight-seeing today W/LOMAC. I'm off to Moline, Kansas for a week to do some finishing work so I won't get a chance to play for awhile. I need to get a laptop so I can play at the hotel. Anyway, good luck with the mission and I am looking forward to it. -KILSEK
