I upgraded from win10 to win11 about 3 weeks ago ever since then when in DCS headset view will freeze for about 10 seconds then start tracking again. I wanted to take some screen shots in Virtual Desktop but it wont let me check the box for that in settings it will put the check mark there but it won't stay. I'm using the recomended GPU driver. H264, automatic bit rate and ultra. Quest pro with eye tracking.  Router is a asus rt-ac68u 2.4/5g  The Pro is the only one using 5G network. OpenXR tool kit mostly to tweak the colors.  I have used Virtual Desktop for a couple of years been really happy with it. Got screen shot to work here are my Virtual Desktop settings. The performance overlay was just hornet freeflight

I am getting an issue with QP since the last meta update and DCS update which sounds like it us the same as yours. As these were about the same time I am not sure if it relates to one or both.

I get random periods when the headset loses tracking for 1-2 seconds and the image freezes. It happens with both VD and meta link.

I disabled OXRTK and XRNS which seems to reduce the frequency of it happening, so I wonder if this is an open XR layer issue. I need to do some more experimenting. The first thing I will try is reordering the open XR layer. Then removing some of them completely.

Are you using QVFR?

When that happens you should open up and check taskmanager GPU memory usage.

It should show 100% at the point VD freezes and this even happens with 4090 24GB.

This is not inherent solution however you can see the video memory usage in game by Control+Scrolllock, check the V-memory to get settled(Texture in V-memory get dumped) in F10 menu before switching planes, this lessen the probability of freeze. usually takes a minute.

You also should try turning off DLSS and antialias all together.

I haven’t experienced VD freeze after that.

The game itself is still running fine and your still able to control the jet and flip switches.  It's the headset tracking freezing up for a few seconds.

@Qcumber    I was scouring the web for quest tracking problems and one thing that I ran across was to disable the "fit check option" in the headset menu. I unchecked mine and flew on 4YA Syria for about 45 minutes with no freezes.  Could of been a fluke and all the trons lined up for that flight time will tell. Thought I would pass it along

I could not find the setting you suggested but I did remove all openxr layers except QVFR. So far no freezing.

Q Pro user here. Experiencing the same random freezes for a few seconds at random times. Only happens once every 1 hour flight or so. I use the link cable. Must be something with OpenXR, Quad views, Meta update or DCS update.

Will implement the suggestions made above once I'm back at my desk to see if it helps.

In the main headset menu not the computer app goto the green gear settings icon then system  it will be in the display tab  "enable fit adjustment"  also on the tracking tab it has auto ,50hz,60hz I set mine to 60hz
