Cant use F-15E in mission editor?

I want to make a few F-15E scenarios in the editor, but for whatever reason the playable F-15E is greyed out? Is it currently unavailable for the mission editor? What gives?

Turn off the historic filter, (clock at the bottom of your screen). Or change the date of the mission.
