StanHurley Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Hello All, I am stumped which is probably an easy thing to do. I recently purchased and installed these pedal to my PC, downloaded the software and cannot get them to work. They won't steer the aircraft with the NWS engaged and when you apply the toe breaks the engine goes to full throttle. Its for the F-16. Any suggestions? Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your help. How did you configure the in the Controls Settings? Practically no peripheral in DCS is completely plug n'play without messing with the bindings. Edit: You do it under axis for the F-16 obviously. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
scommander2 Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 By default, these device bindings are wrong for all planes. CONTROLS->AXIS Assign (per plane) for setting L/R brakes as well as rudder. StanHurley Posted October 10, 2024 Author Posted October 10, 2024 Controls - Axis Commands - T-Rudder Column - Open the Rudder Assignment Dialog Box - Push on Rudder - Currently in Use Throttle ?

Yes! DCS has the bad habit of just populating incorrect settings. Like you said, it controlled the thrust, that's why you get a conflict warning. Just press yes, as you want it as rudders and not thrust. Word of note. You might need to inverse the brake pedals under axis tuning, and you definitely change them to sliders. All axis that are not sticks/rudders etc. should be set as sliders that go from 0-100, and not -50 to 0 to 50. 1
StanHurley Posted October 10, 2024 Author Posted October 10, 2024 (edited) Thanks Max! I appreciate it - got the inverted brakes corrected as well. Edited October 10, 2024 by StanHurley 1

Hey Max, Thanks for your expert input; I just got me the TM TRP's and I have the problem that DCS doesn't recognise the brakes (on both sides) as an axis that goes from 0-100, but, instead is set at 0, then, when I touch the brakes, goes straight to 50 and only there increases to 100. What am I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance...

But, open the Controls Settings, and the select the TM TPR column and click the axis tune button at the bottom. Then you check use as slider checkbox on the right, (and you may need to check invert as well in some modules). Do this for both toe brake axes, and you should be all set!Cheers!
