throttle config problem (black shark)

hi

 

i'm having a problem configuring throttle in sim mode of black shark. i run vista, have a saitek st290pro stick and an updated driver, throttle runs fine in arcade mode (and any other game) but not in sim mode. the axis option is greyed out and i can't figure out how to get around that.

 

help is appreciated.

In the config screen, but sure to select Ka-50 Real and Axis Commands.

 

BTW, you should be mapping your COLLECTIVE to your axis, not the THROTTLE. Leave the throttle assigned to PgUp/PgDn as it is only used during manual startup or during some emergencies.

ok. i checked and the z-axis is mapped to the collective by default. but in sim mode i don't see any movement of the blades and when flying the slider doesn't affect the chopper in any way. the only thing i can do to raise or drop is using the throttle (default page up/down).

 

i'm somewhat confused, i have to say.

that is the only thing throttle does (pgup, pgdn). It sets engine RPM, that is it. Collective sets blade angle of attack. If collective does not work, you are still in the wrong game mode list (learn the realism mode first and you would not have these problem).

In-game, use RCTRL-ENTER to visually test the axies' assignments. :joystick:

 

And do make sure you configure for "Ka-50 Real", not "Ka-50 Game".

Blueskunk, have you assigned it through"Flight Control Collective" in "Axis Commands"? Some people with similar issues have accidently set it through "Ins Collective" which is incorrect.
