4c Hajduk Veljko Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 This is apparently the first time ever Gazzele helicopter publicly performed full loop. Take a look at the cool Funnel and Tail Funnel flying! This pilot is good, really good! 1 Thermaltake Kandalf LCS | Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R | Etasis ET750 (850W Max) | i7-920 OC to 4.0 GHz | Gigabyte HD5850 | OCZ Gold 6GB DDR3 2000 | 2 X 30GB OCZ Vertex SSD in RAID 0 | ASUS VW266H 25.5" | LG Blue Ray 10X burner | TIR 5 | Saitek X-52 Pro | Logitech G930 | Saitek Pro flight rudder pedals | Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
nscode Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 No.. it isn't. And it wasn't a proper loop as far as I could tell. But it is the first time it was done on the Yugoslav licence built version. But a stunning performance by sub-lieutenant Goran Krneta nonetheless. Even more so when you see it in person :) Here it is in HQ Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
4c Hajduk Veljko Posted June 6, 2009 Author Posted June 6, 2009 Your video does not have the part where Krneta is working the loop. However, I see your point, the maneuver looks more like Imelman rather then the loop. However I do know, from reliable sources, that potpukovnik Krneta did the loop. You can stop by =4c= web site forum and there is some cool stuff there. Anyway, were you at the show? nscode Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Yeah, I know this one doesn't have the loop. I was there on Sunday. He also did it on the first day of the airshow, and twice that week in rehursal, so repetitivenes is not a problem :) What I meant is that the maneuver he did is not something I would call a loop. He's partialy going diagonally and then flips over. Something between a loop and a roll. That's the way British do it too. But the chopper was inverted, no question about that. :) Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
Frazer Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Cool video! Also good for some inspiration for the next ;) Thanks for sharing :) Forum | Videos | DCS:BS Demo1 / Demo2 | YouTube Channel [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
nscode Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Yeah, I've just seen your demo yesterday. It's very cool, but it has a very unrealistic feel to it. That's something you could work on ;) Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
Frazer Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Yeah, I've just seen your demo yesterday. It's very cool, but it has a very unrealistic feel to it. That's something you could work on ;) It is entirely based on what I have seen in reality. Not one maneuver is not possible or never done. The execution of the maneuvers can be improved though. Eighter way, thanks for the input there ;) Some more helo aerobatics: CH-47 Chinook Helicopter RNLAF Kamov ka-50 Forum | Videos | DCS:BS Demo1 / Demo2 | YouTube Channel [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
nscode Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 After further reviewing some videos of British Gazelles, those choppers were not inverted. So, it appears that after all this was the first time Gazelle was inverted :) (loop or no loop ;)) If anyone has different info from the British, French or other pilots, please come forward.. Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
4c Hajduk Veljko Posted September 10, 2009 Author Posted September 10, 2009 (edited) Preparation for Batajnica 2009 are ongoing.
