urgentdweomer Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Hi, I'm still learning the basics of how to be effective in combat with this game, and the only way I'm able to take out tanks, etc is with guided ATGMs at the moment. As such, I often need to rearm during a mission - but I've found it *very* touch and go - i.e, often I will land at a helipad / FARP / runway and ask for a rearm / refuel and get no response from maintenance. I have managed to do it before, but not reliably. Hopefully someone can fill me in on the exact requirements for establishing contact with maintenance. I gather if I open my cockpit door, and maybe turn off the rotors, OR set my radio to a certain frequency, AND I'm within a certain radius of a fuel truck / supply truck, I should be ok. Anyone care to fill in the blanks? In the mission I'm currently flying I've tried all this at several FARPs and a runway to no avail ... cheers
slowhand Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 (edited) you need to set your radio to ground crew ..black knob above targeting pannel left hand side below start pannel.. you may need to turn on your intercom as well right side next to your VHF switches..tht should help...one more thing if you take off(request) with out turning tht switch back..your wpnsSgt.... will get a lil pissed an will let you know it.. mbolan Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Similar and related issue. Flying 'Gaunlet' Mission. Landed at FARP for rearm, turned off rotors. Restarted, took off but wingmen had landed and their chopper seats were empty. They'd skyved off. Recalled them to formation with radio, they all responded but nothing happened. Is this realistic? They all sit in the ready room with a radio making positive noises while muggins flies the mish?

Today, if you land witout having given them a loiter order first they'll interpret that as an RTB and land and finish up for the day.
