Hey guys,

As mentioned above I can't set the proper "fuze" I guess for bombs, I'm working on a short cinematic where F104 drops bombs at low altitude, so I gotta use launch override to drop them lower than usual, they drop but won't explode,is it because I drop them TOO low?

Thanks to everyone who'd help.

What fuze did you actually set?

Some could indeed have an fuze arming delay, so the bomb won't explode if dropped too low.

Or you could have set a too long delay.

This is it, and the delay is the lowest I can choose for these...

Yeah so the Nose fuze needs 2 seconds to arm while the tail one needs 4.

If you drop it too low, it might be able to arm in time.

you mean it might not be able to arm in time if its too low?

Correct. It needs at least 2 seconds of flight time.

Thanks a lot Razor so..there's no workaround correct? Maybe some script but it would take some time I guess.

Is there actually a US bomb that has 0s delay?

You could try the airburst fuze for the Mk-82.

M6X Series has a very short tail fuze (with exception of the old M64, the new one has it), but probably not available on the F-104.

M117 doesn't seem to have the new fuzes yet so that one is likely to still be instant.

Thanks man, I'll get around and just accept the fate lol xD I tried airbust but Mk-82 has both nose and tail fuze , you can set the nose to 0 but tail has fuze to 4 mininum so can't be done 😞

Indeed bombs' time of flight need to be higher than minimum fuze setting.

If you are trying to do something that's realistic tactically speaking, don't forget that a low drag bomb dropped level in very low altitude has a very high chance of bumping on the ground (ricochet) and hit back the aircraft. Even if it's exploding when hitting the ground, the aircraft will definitely be within the fragmentation envelope and has high chances of being destroyed by its own bomb's explosion.

The only option to make something that's both technically possible (TOF long enough to arm the bomb) and tactically sound is to use high drag bombs.
