Question VR performance

Hi guys,

ì have just finalized my new PC build: i914900k, 6200Ram, NVME, RTX4090, W11, G2, Warthog.
A10, F16, BS2 run with stable 90fps. BS3 just with stable 52fps. These fps figures are with MID settings. I did not expect that BS3 shows only 50% (approx.) fps compared to the other modules.  What is so special with BS3 that might cause this framedrop? Any ideas?

maybe BS3 is not as optimised as the other modules. I notice better performance running the F16 agains the Apache, maybe the combo of them being in the weeds compared to at 30000ft..

 

Yes link your setting and what Hz rate do you use for your G2?

With settings you mean " grafic settings " in DCS?  
OpenXR tool kit runs standard with no adjustments
- WMR is set to 90Hz.
- A10 close to ground shows 90fps.

yes the Graphic settings in DCS.. but you have a 4090 so you should be set to run near max or max.. but you might need to experiment a bit..

Yes, this was my assumption too…. So getting just 50fps in BS3 compared to 90fps in A10 and BS2 was a surprise. Graphic settings were on MID. And if CPU (and GPU) is not the bottleneck for A10 and BS2 why for BS3?

either the BS3 is not as optimized as the F16 and A10 or similar.. I know the F16 is better then say the Apache as well.

That's actually the main reason why I didn't buy BS3 and stayed with BS2. I've had my share of poor experience with Apache before and it didn't improve much over time, so no, thank you, I love VR too much to pay for a perfomance degradation...

HAGS off? for me Hags on was the reason for micro-stuttering
