VMFA-Blaze Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Honestly... I'm not a fan of helicopter sims. Therefore I haven't bothered posting in the Black Shark forum. And thats the reason I'm posting here in the general discussion forum. I remember that there were promises made some time ago about adding some fixed wing AC. So now that the Black Shark frenzy seems to have died down somewhat, rather then taking the time to skim through all of post that I'm not concerned with, I was wondering if there are any new developments regarding this. I'm also hoping that there's also been some work done with the new game engine.. This is just my own opinions, I'm not trying to offend anyone. Once these items become a reality I'll be back, as I'm sure that many other guys will be as well... :noexpression: Blaze 2 intel Cor i7-6700K ASUS ROG MAX VIII Extreme G.Skill TridentZ Series 32 GB Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SATA II ASUS GTX 1080/DIRECTX 12 Windows 10 PRO Thrustmaster Warthog Oculus Rift VR
RedTiger Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 As far as LOMAC goes, there's this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=41170 Particularly #4. ED has some fixed wing aircraft in the works for future DCS titles, besides the A-10C. They have the F-15C, F-16C, MiG-29A, and Su-27S/P...to name all the ones I actually give a hoot about. :)
golfsierra2 Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 I second VMFA_Blaze's opinion. Lock-On might see a final update with a patch 1.13, but that's the end of the road. The new engine of the DCS series is the new game platform for the next 5 years or so. As long as there are no fast jets available for the DCS series, I won't buy it. A-10 is the next aircraft to be released, which is no jet fighter either. Taking into account the relatively complex work of modeling a new aircraft for DCS, which I guess will be released every 6 months, it will be around 2011 that DCS will provide the variety of aircraft as we now enjoy with Lock-On / Flaming Cliffs. Until then, DCS is a non-player for me. kind regards, Raven.... [sigpic]http://www.crc-mindreader.de/CRT/images/Birds2011.gif[/sigpic]

pauldy Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 As long as ED patches our current Flamming Cliffs to fix the major problems, it's fine by me. Although i'm also looking forward to the A-10C. Still i hope for more Fighter aircraft in the DCS series~ :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
71st_Mastiff Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 (edited) Me as well since this version of the flight engine runs very smooth like a babies A## on my system I like this also I have found the Track ir5 works way better on Lock-On FC 1.12. Can some one tell me how to turn off the Icons in the game? NVM I found it shft F10.
