pr0xyfl00d3r Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 I have a PS5 and GT7 … so with that said… currently I’m borrowing a quest 2 from a friend and thinking about getting my own headset. So options I’m thinking. PSVR2 or Quest 3 anything to be aware of pro or cons for either ?

sleighzy Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 (edited) Quest 3. Pancake lenses will always be better than fresnel lenses for a start. Even though the PSVR2 one says it has eye-tracking this is not implemented and does not work in DCS. Wifi streaming is also good as you may end up using Virtual Desktop vs. cable and the Meta app at some stage. Foveated Rendering is also supported with DCS even though the comparison linked above says that it doesn't and requires an eye-tracked headset. You can (like many of us) use Quad-Views-Foveated which will use Fixed Foveated Rendering for non-eyetracked headsets. Ability to use passthrough so you can bring outside things into your VR world. Maddaawg Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 If you go with PCVR2 you will get mediocre results in DCS but you will be able to use GT7 on the PlayStation. You will need to decide for yourself which is more important. There are of course multiple racing games in VR on a PC as well as a host of other games both PC and Meta standalone. 1 Meta Quest 3, AMD 9800x3D, EVGA 3080Ti FTW3, Corsair 2x32GB DDR5 6000, ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB M2 NVME Windows 11 Drive, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB M2 NVME Game Drive
