Ok after watching endless videos and reading etc... finally think I got the basics on flight....

so I download Vipers profile to my cougar ... downloads ok ... I test a few buttons and start to fly.

Chopper goes crazy and wont trim.... hmmmm must be be....

so I goto key tester via foxy and pressing H3 button down and or with the shift button on the stick I get no response....

testing the buttons via the graphic gets a response from the button so its working ok.... but not hitting the trim etc when in game. Hence why I get no trim.

Have reinstalled the viper profile and downloaded to stick a couple of times.

Any ideas on this ?

New to cougar stuff so cant program it.....(yet)

On Viper's profile the trim "T" button is H3 Up, not down, and you need to hold it for more than half a second then release. A quick press turns on auto-hover so watch out for that.

The H3 down switch 'locks' the joystick position, essentially disabling it, until you press it again.

Hope this helps?

ah no im stupid. In red it states down = trim and HOLD trim. reset cougar.

This is what Ive been pressing thinking its not working.

The other thing is ..... ive enabled the control indicator as slowhand suggested - I hit trim and the setting I want.... Nose forward for example.... indicator is dead centre but forward as it should be but the helicopter has a slight roll to the right.

if I reset the trim it moves down to centre - Ive pressed keyboard nose down and trimmed and it still rolls slightly to the right.... am I missing something else ?

thanks for the above replies.

As you speed up the heli will try to roll to the right - it's down to the rotors and asymmetric lift I think. Complicated things helicopters.

At higher speeds you'll be trimmed in the sort of 11 o'clock position.
