Map Designate only goes to TGT and not STP/TPOD to SOI Wont Goto STP?

I am trying to practice IR Mavs with TPOD and have run across an issue that I have not been able to resolve working with others on the same server. They don’t have the following issue even when we all jump in the same hot start Harrier.

WP-1 = currently selected steerepoint. Even if I do nothing else, and just box the “Designate” OSB on the left MAP screen, it shows up as Designate “TGT” instead of Designate “STP”, and they get “STP” as expected. I cant get that to switch to “STP”? Here is what is happening, just for me that I can not get resolved. I take off in NAV mode and HUD shows WP-1 at say 20 Miles, I switch to AG mode, and HUD still shows WP-1 at say 20 Miles (All is good and as expected). As soon as I Sensor Select Down TWICE (Or push in or depress as some might say) to bring up the TPOD as SOI, the HUD switches from WP-1 at about 20 miles to 53 miles TGT? No where near pointing at WP-1. We cant figure out why is seems to slew to a target that has not been designated as of yet? Again, it was noticed right away on the ground before takeoff that when “Designate” on the map was pressed, it went to TGT instead of STP.

I have been trying to resolve this for over week reading through forums etc, watching tutorials to see if I an goofing something up, sharing my screen with others to confirm my procedures, no luck.

I have cleared my keybindings and only set the minimum required to get off the ground and test. Full repair, Uninstalled & Re-installed harrier module and all MODS Disabled. Checked “Special Settings and tried Easy Mode TDC On or Off. I am at a loss. Any suggestion are welcome. Thanks,

So I put more hours into this and found the problem, but now I need to find a solution. The short version of this is:

I found that the Harrier Keybinding file was the cause. If I deleted it, all was well. So, I deleted that file (C:\Users\YourName Here\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input\AV8BNA) and did a fresh mapping of HOTAS, Problem was back. I then deleted that file again and painstakingly started re-mapping HOTAS, 1 button at a time until the problem showed up again. Short version: As soon as I map either of the Microsticks on either my Throttle or Grip to "TDC Slew" in AXIS commands, thats when it becomes the obvious problem. Now I gotta go figure out what to do about it. I use both of those microsticks for Slewing in all of my other modules with no issue. Razbam however spits it out?

As an additional experiment I deleted that file (C:\Users\YourName Here\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input\AV8BNA) and went into Harrier controls, cleared the default "Stick" category, and only assigned the TDC Slew Horizontal AXIS to my Grip, and it did the same thing. So this is not just the Microstick Axis as an issue. So I have to think this is more a RAZBAM issue, not a Virpil, especially if I dont have issues with other MODS. Again though, no solution.

To me it seems that you're confusing the procedures, If I:

1- Start the TPOD, select the waypoint and verify that INS is the active sensor

2- Designate the WP

B.jpg

3- Enter TPOD HTS, use TDC controls to correct the target then TDC depress

Everything works as espected.

Try this, hop into a hot start and touch nothing, then hit "DESIG" on the left mfd map screen, what do you see to the right of "DESIG"? STP or TGT?

STP would be my guess

Matter resolved by BJ55. Deadband for AXIS had to be increased from 2 to 7 as I did not realize the Axis was influenced ever so slightly (not visual by naked eye).
