Moxica Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 I just got a set of Pimax, and with that, I don't use DLSS anymore. A side effect of that is; the moirè is gone. I tried activating DLSS, and it was back. I think the 90hz upscale brought it back also. Kinkkujuustovoileipä Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Interesting discovery, thank you for sharing! 1
tempusmurphy Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 (edited) It’s strange that it doesn’t seem to effect any of the other tpod displays, only the Kiowa, and it makes target finding an absolute pain Edited December 11, 2024 by tempusmurphy 1
LorenLuke Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 It'd be nice if you could just... toggle it off as a 'Special' setting. 2
Moxica Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 (edited) Well.. As it turn out, it is mostly gone. If I lean in, it appears, and get more severe the closer I lean. The moirè in the Kiowa is actually real occuring moirè, and not a simulated feature. Now that is strange. Especially since it does not appear in the Gazelle. horus-DCS Posted January 28 Posted January 28 (edited) The moire is there due to ‘artificial’ scan lines over the MMS cam area whatever your diplay device is. I’ve already asked the devs to remove the lines in the bugs section but never had an answer from them. Edited January 28 by horus-DCS 3

Annyoing, but I'd have to admit its clever. 1 ASUS ROG Strix B550-E GAMING - PNY GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming VERTO EPIC-X - AMD Ryzen 9 5900X - 64Gb RAM - 2x2Tb M2 - Win11 - Pimax crystal light - HP Reverb g2 - Oculus Quest 2 - Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS - Thrustmaster Pendular Rudder - 2X Thrustmaster MFD Cougar - Audient EVO8

Moxica Posted February 1 Author Posted February 1 The DLSS 4/J profile experiment really messed up and amplified moirè to a rediculous level. -This is nolongerfunnyy.. Need to go away. 3 ASUS ROG Strix B550-E GAMING - PNY GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming VERTO EPIC-X - AMD Ryzen 9 5900X - 64Gb RAM - 2x2Tb M2 - Win11 - Pimax crystal light - HP Reverb g2 - Oculus Quest 2 - Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS - Thrustmaster Pendular Rudder - 2X Thrustmaster MFD Cougar - Audient EVO8
hotstick Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Moire with DLSS (not 4) nevertheless remains a real problem 2 http://51thMassilia.net France
