digitalJE5U5 Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Just bought the game. Fresh install from Gold, then installed FC from disk. Attempted to go into game and edit buttons for flight and combat for my X-52 pro. However, when you select an action and click <change> the game immediately selects either button33 or button34. Programming the Axis works, but I cannot change any buttons. I also tried patching Lockon to most current version and same issue. I really dont want to have to program all the buttons through the Saitek profiler. Help? Just bought the game and new controllers. Everything works in HAWX and IL2.
71st_Mastiff Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I have that same issue you have to be quik about pressing that mouse button casue when you hit change it atuomaticly detects the mouse click at the same time. digitalJE5U5 Posted June 24, 2009 Author Posted June 24, 2009 I managed to get a couple with quick presses, but this is kind of ridiculous having to spend 10 minutes speed tapping a button just to map one command. Cant seem to map my Saitek rudder pedals to brake either. Cant imagine everyone has this same issue? If so, what does everyone else do to set up your buttons? Is there a text file where you can map the buttons manually? Like an XML or LUA file?

Me had the same issue heres what you do...:pilotfly::joystick: open the profile editor; pull up your rudder pedals in the pull down menu in the list; click on the left or right pedal I assign my left pedal to the w key make sure you click on bands and set it at 50% or more to allow for foot movement play... click save and right click the icon in the task window resident running programs and enable the profile. Careful pressing the foot pedal while typing it makes "w"s lol and also if your pressing in the game while punching up other key commands may result in unfavorable actions... Answer - only set axes in Lockon. Set buttons etc using the profile software that comes with the X52. It is real easy to use, I never read manuals, just get into it and I had my first few buttons programmed and a skeleton profile made in a few minutes. Tweaked it over the next day or two as I tried it out flying in Lockon - moved a few buttons around, added a few more commands, etc. until I had it how I wanted it. Tweaking the X52 profile with the profiling software was much easier than my previous stick when I had to use Lockon itself. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Sorry Death, you lose! It was Professor Plum....
