Alphamale Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I'm trying to start an A-10 campaign in SP and once I'm at the map screen and I go into options, I can't select ANY custom options for that mission. What's with that?
sniffer Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Probably campaing is blocked by author - You can only change this if You unlock it (need a password). [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Boberro Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Password is eagle - but better extract all missions from capaign file by utility which can be found on lockonfiles.com. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Alphamale Posted June 24, 2009 Author Posted June 24, 2009 (edited) No, I don't think this is the case. The option to "declassify" is greyed out like almost every other option. If I go to the Main screen and enter the Options from there, I can custom set ANY parameter. And my take on this is, if the button turns "green", then it is enabled. After I make my settings, I make sure "Global" is set on and then I save the settings. But once I enter a campaign screen and go to options from there, ALL of the option buttons are "dark" and "mouse clicks" on these buttons do not change the color. In fact, I cannot even change options within a mission via the hot-key combos. For instance, when I press "Shift + I", I do not get "Easy Radar". It stays in Realistic mode. Yet, I get Easy Radar in the "Quick Fly" missions at the main screen. Just FYI, I have this installed on WinXP Pro SP3 and am using Saitek X52 regular flight system. I'm also using a custom ".DAT" profile I made with the X52 software, if that's any help. **Follow Up** Ok, now that's strange, I could not click on "Declassify" but when I used the hot-key combo, it asked for the password. And yes, "eagle" unlocked all the missions. Now the options screen shows exactly what my options were when I set them at the main screen. Now, next question is, will the campaign continue to keep track of "attrition" while in this "unlocked" state? Or will I have to "Classify" it again? TIA, AM Edited June 24, 2009 by Alphamale
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 As far as I remember, declassifying a campaign does not affect it keeping track of destroyed objects (I assume thats what you mean by "attrition"). Only resetting the campaign will do that. While on the subject of declassifying....... If you have downloaded any of the excellent missions/campaigns designed by the Lockon community, then some may be classified. Either the briefing notes or the readme file may tell you the password. Some may not. If not, then you can still get into them by overwriting the password with your own. Use keystrokes rather than the pulldown menu to do this. Press "ctrl + left shift + C" then type in a password of your choice e.g. 1234. Now press "ctrl + left shift + D" and enter your password e.g. 1234 NOTE that Lockon does not seem to remember this, so you may have to do it each time you restart Lockon. If there is something that bugs you about a mission or campaign, perhaps it runs too slowly on your PC - maybe there are too many eye candy units in it that are not pertinent to the mission. Whatever..... You can declassify a mission or campaign in the Mission Editor. You can even fly the campaign missions in any order you want (plus change weather, skins, weapon loadout, etc). I use this method all the time to cherry-pick the fun missions in a campaign and miss out the dull ones. Go into Mission Editor, upper left of screen click on the open button, bottom right TYPE OF FILE select CAMPAIGN, navigate the folder structure to the campaign you want and select it. Bottom right click on MAP. Now you will see the 1st mission of your campaign. Now if you declassify it (using the password over-write technique if you dont know its password), then all the mission in the campaign are visible and you can fly any one you wish, or mess about with it, etc. Best to keep a copy of the original first before you edit it, saves you having to D/L it again if you decide you prefer the original after all.
