Hi everyone.

I'm building an apache cockpit (kind of) and I already have:

  • Main game monitor
  • Secondary monitor (for OBS, or other PC stuff)
  • Two small 1280 x 960 lcds for the MPCDs

With these, I already used the 4 ports in my 3090, but I just finished the TEDAC, which also has a small 800 x 600 lcd, but I don't know where to plug it. I'm not sure if I could plug it to the motherboard hdmi port or that's just for the APU if you don't have a dedicated GPU, but even if I could, I plan on adding a eufd in the future, so I would still need to add more monitors.

I bought this some time ago: https://amzn.eu/d/fsdIfnc but didn't notice it requires a thunderbolt 3 port, which I don't have (mobo is an MSI X470 gaming plus max)

Any suggestions? Can anyone confirm if I can use the mobo hdmi for now?

The MoBo HDMI port is just a passthrough, the MB does not actually have any graphics hardware, the HDMI port is there in case you install an AMD processor that includes a GPU integrated on it .. most high end AMD processor do not have this, which processor are you using?

For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra

For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar

Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

It's not an APU. It's a ryzen 9 5900X I believe. So that leaves me with the matter of how to plug a 5th screen

Appreciate you might have invested in what you've got, but if you can't get those working there are usb monitors (like the winwing mips) and also you can turn old tablets and phones into monitors using free software like spacedesk or deskreen

12 cores, but has no Integrated graphics, so cant drive the MB hdmi port.

I´m using a Matrox Triple Head2Go to connect 3 displays which is then seen as 1 in Windows. Respectively I was able to use 3 Main screens and 3 MFD screens seen as 1, 4 in total.

See here for more details, maybe an option:

I read the auto-translation and noted some things to check:

You should be careful that it:

1. Will carry data (the translation said "Important Note: 1. Only the stand can provide charging, it can not pass the video data; 2. It can be used to charge from the USB port to a device such as hard drive with HDMI port. It doesn't work to charge from the HDMI port to the USB port.")

2. That it sends data in the right direction (some cables only go one-way)

Good luck!

Ah yes, you are right, didn't notice that. But there are other devices that do it, a bit more expensive, but not as much as the ones mentioned above (though to be fair, those are for more than one hdmi port)
