Dermax1 Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 I was away from the game for about a year, but I decided to fire everything up for old times sake. One issue that is bringing down the fun levels is some drifting in my opentrack - which sounds like an Austrian pop song now that I type it. I'm running a Delanclip and their modded PS3 Eye on Opentrack 2.3.12 - which is like four years old at this point - but it was the version recommended when I bought the tracker back in the day. The issue that I'm running into is when I look off to the side, keeping my head dead still, and verifying that with the "Raw Tracker Data", I'm getting getting drift in the "Game Data" that causes my Yaw specifically to slowly pan 10 or more degrees. It makes flipping switches rough and makes me almost a little sick over time. I've got two questions... 1) Does anyone have idea what settings in opentrack I'd need to fiddle with to try and stop the drifting? 2) Dumb question - if anyone is running a similar setup, should I update Opentrack? Or do a fresh install? Or just keep running the old school version? I'm sure four years of software development has added new features, but my current version - mostly - works and I'd hate to screw something for no reason.

Make curves and make some small Deadzones. That will keep "your" head still.2. Not a dumb question at all. Can't say if the newer version of OpenTrack is better in any way on my system. But it does now support, (or require, can't remember), a newer driver for the PS3 cam. So the PSEye drivers are depricated. Follow the instructions to the point on Github. Took me trial and error to get it working. I believe I had some VJoy device a had to remove first. And of course the old drivers. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
