DCS.exe application error after latest update. Week of Dec. 8-15, 2024

Hello,

After the latest update I have not been able to get into the sim.  The update check will happen then I get the error in the title.  I eventually uninstalled my DCS (was the OpenBeta version, but was likely the streamlined single version) and downloaded a new copy of DCS World.  Still, the same error occurs. I have norton antivirus and have checked permission, temporarily turned off protection and firewall, but still no luck.  I have also attempted using the repair tool in both slow and regular mode.

 

Any help would be appreciated!

I had the same problem, I installed the latest VC_redist.x64 from Microsoft and then it worked again.

I had the same problem with a new updated win11 installation and updated DCS.

I did a repair check of both DCS and Windows showing no errors.

But after I installed the latest VC_redist.x64, DCS started again.
