Datalink functional during RF Silent switch. Shouldn't it be disabled?

Hello,

I had an E-3 up which was giving me a datalink position of a tanker on the HSD. I went to RF Silent, and while the radar was disabled, I was still getting datalink updates. If I am correct, I believe almost all RF outputs (datalink included) should be inhibited during RF Silent, and the majority on RF Quiet.

Can someone confirm correct functionality, please?

RF Silent and Quiet should make L-16 receive only

When you hit that RF Silent switch, you're only quieting emissions, not reception.

Thanks. I didn't know if there was a 2-way comm functionality for it work correctly but figured I'd ask. I appreciate the clarification on it being receive only in that regard. I'm guessing any of your supported tracks that AWACS doesn't see which you are contributing to L16 should drop when doing to quiet, as that would be a 2-way situation.
