Can't find this, strange.

AppData folder is hidden by default. Make sure that you can see hidden folders in explorer

P.S. Confirming you have installed Android Studio as per the step prior https://developer.android.com/studio

Update: I use the Android Studio's adb and it seems to work, as I connect to a router and the router also connects to the WAN, and it gets to the internet and even connects to the PC but VD tells me the PC is not in the same network.

Either I live with this or get a router with more ports...

Thoughts: if my ethernet as a whole, i.e. the slowest network component,  can go only up to 1000Mbps while the WiFi claims to go at fast as 1200Mbps, is it still worth to spend more £££ to use ethernet instead?

I have a 2400mbit WiFi6e connection (and I have technically downgraded to 1000 ethernet) and it was an upgrade for me; but this is kind of the reason I put this guide up, so I would encourage you to ask others

It is okay, this is my consideration. If it works for you, this is good and there is no place I could dismiss anything.

I have all the parts except a 2.5G hub/switch to test if it worths, but I cannot afford it for the time being.

Not sure if what I wrote came across correctly. I was on 2400mbit WiFI connection, now I am using the stock Mobo Ethernet port and it is too restricted to 1000mbit. This upgrade is a theoretical mathematical downgrade in that regard, but has been an upgrade

1000mbps vs 1200 or 2400mbps is meaningless when the actual encoding is 400-500mbps. The min requirements for a stable VD connection is about 860mbps from the router IIRC.

Great to know. Thanks guys.

May be when my upcoming salary comes along, I get myself a 2.5Gbps hub/switch then.

I got a powered usb/ethernet lead from Amazon. Not very expensive. About £17.

Thank you for your suggestion. As I have said, I only need a giga-ethernet hub/switch as I have a powered USB hub with ethernet which is a leftover from my Pico 4 days. I also have the LAN cables necessary and the USB cable supplying power. If the hub/switch works as expected, I am also getting the USB-C extension cable.

BTW, anyone experience CTD? It happens constantly after a while of running, DLSS on or not.

I had some major issues with CTD after installing DLSS4. After several DCS repairs and headset factory resets the issue now only occurs when my GPU is overloaded.

Let me try, but I am sure it is not overloading.

Well crap. I've tried the 2x supersample with ASW with Link from the thread next door and now I have the same thing. It's obviously network related, but I literally changed nothing

Have you figured it out?

I think I have solved it. I reinstalled VD streamer and now I get 400mbps

Does anyone know how to stop the annoying "handsets might not be tracked without WiFi" message?

Thankfully I have very short hair?

Edit: solution. Enable "do not disturb" on the headset.

That’s the windows counterpart (not the app within the headset/meta eco system)?

in regards to your controller issue I don’t have that message so it’s definitely possible. However I have no idea how as this is not something I’ve ever had

Yes. It's the windows streaming app that I reinstalled.

Thanks. I have tried various notification toggles but none seem to work. I'll keep looking and maybe I'll find the answer.

I'm interested in trying this approach to VD with my QP. Question about the ethernet cables: My current setup has ethernet from main router to gaming PC, then ethernet from PC to dedicated 6E wifi router (as recommended by VD). In your cabled setup, is it possible to use the ethernet cable currently going from gaming PC to  6E wifi router to connect to the Ethernet to USB C connector, instead of an additional (and long, in my case) ethernet cable to from the primary router to the Ethernet to USB C connector? I did see your bullet point about User Error plugging E-net directly from PC to headset, which I assume is what I am asking (RTFM).

Not being smart on Ethernet, can I just get an E-net hub or switch and use that in my gaming room, plugging in the cable from the router into the hub, then running independent short e-net cables to PC and E-net to USB-C connector for the headset?

And about power: I'm now running a 20000ma/100w battery pack to extend the in-game life of the headset, plugged in directly to the QPs USB C port. Can that same battery pack be used if inserted at the Ethernet to USB C connector (assuming it has a power input like this one: https://www.unitek-products.com/products/usb-c-to-gigabit-ethernet-adapter-with-100w-power-delivery?pr_prod_strat=e5_desc&pr_rec_id=910545e70&pr_rec_pid=7473809293541&pr_ref_pid=4646690226253&pr_seq=uniform)?

Finally, just a comfort tip for QP users: Try taking the front pad off completely, and supporting the headset with a couple of overhead cross straps and in my case a Globular Cluster back pad. And no light blockers, of course. When in-game (DCS, of course) set room ambient lights to match the conditions in the game, taking care to not aim any light directly at your head. This makes the QP incredibly comfortable, as it is hung from the top straps and naturally settles lightly on your nose for best FOV,without touching your forehead at all; and the lack of light blockers takes away the "scuba mask" feeling while allowing a lot of cooling air to your eyes. After a bit, you don't even notice the peripheral details of your room - unless of course a bright light is there! Only downside is nightime, where you need a minimum of lighting to keep the tracking happy.

Thanks in advance,

Vulture
