I use my Quest 3, like a lot of people, via Virtual Desktop, and had succeeded in getting my virtual hands to follow my actual hands in the cockpit.

However, I could not get DCS to recognise me trying to press buttons or flipping switches and that was either caused by me simply not pinching or flipping correctly, or I've missed a step somewhere in the setup.  Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong, so I can give it another try?

I'd changed the internal game settings, VD streamer settings and in headset VD settings, but have now disabled the feature, as I don't really want my hands being shown if they're not going to be of any use.

Hi,

I just got my Quest 3 to replace my good ol’ G2 and hand tracking works wells outside of DCS.

Though in DCS I cannot select HANDS in the VR options, only CONTROLLERS appears, any tips ?

I don’t use virtual desktop btw just Link via cable.

Based on your comment I’m assuming you have set up a Meta developer account then and have hand tracking enabled. The drop-down will only display the Hands option if you are in VR and in the actual game, ie not from within the launcher or 2d. Is this the case?

I didn't set up a Meta developper account, it just worked (and I reset the helmet when I got it, second hand). I'm in VR and the helmet on my head when I try to find it in the VR options; should I set up a developer account ?

Turn it on in your headset.

Turn it on in DCS under the VR options.

It works…and yet you will be disappointed.

That, doesn't work, or am I missing a step ?

@Comox

You might need a developer account, but I‘m not sure. I have one, because I also need it for the eye-tracking in the QuestPro.

In any case, the hand-Tracking is not a pleasant experience in DCS. It‘s sluggish at best. But I guess curiosity kills the cat, right…😄
