Maksim Savelev Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Hello everyone. I wanted to share with you my experience of using FFBeast in DCS with the way of tuning it through the software. So far I was able to make two videos explaining benefits of using my FFBeast set up with non boosted direct control aircrafts and helicopters. 3 1
Panzerlang Posted January 4 Posted January 4 My FFBeast has been completed and will be shipped on Monday. Thanks for the videos. 2
Maksim Savelev Posted January 4 Author Posted January 4 Congratulations on this purchase, you definitely will reimagine the whole world of sim aviation for yourself and the way every aircraft flies. 1
oneeyeddog Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I just received mine this past Friday. It was made by Vitaly, aka GVL224. I’m in the process of getting it set up.

Mine seems to be warehoused in Frankfurt since Friday. How's the setup going? The software was patched to 2.5 the other day and there's a firmware hex in the zip, not looking forward to flashing the thing.
oneeyeddog Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Panzerlang, mine took a journey worthy of a Tolkien novel. It spent several days in Frankfurt. Turns out they opened and inspected the package but they did repack it adequately. I was very uneasy about flashing the firmware too but accomplished that yesterday. The switch on the Odrive is tiny, maybe 1/8 inch in length. I used a lighted magnifier and the tip of an Exacto knife to turn it on/off. Easier done than said btw. You’ll need a ‘printer cable’ to connect the Beast to your PC USB. This was not included. I must say Vitaly has been absolutely wonderful to deal with. 1

By printer cable, you mean a USB that has a square connector on one end?
oneeyeddog Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Yes. It’s a USB-A to USB-B cable aka printer cable. I used the cable from my HP printer to flash firmware while awaiting a longer printer cable that I can dedicate to the Beast. Glad I could be of help. 1
Panzerlang Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Four days for my parcel to be 'security checked' at Frankfurt. I expect they'll now fly it to china before it gets here to Japan. 1
