Server Recommendation for PvP A2A Training in the Phantom

Hey guys,

I just started my Phantom multiplayer experience on Heatblur's ECW server. However, I definitely need some A2A dogfight training. While I love the ECW server's realistic experience, getting a training experience is difficult due to the long startup and flight times.

Can you guys recommend a friendly server for Cold War A2A training (e.g. only Gen 3 aircraft, Fox 1) with hot start and maybe even air spawn?

Many thanks in advance!

Closest thing I can think of would be Mobettameta's Cold War server. It has air spawn "arenas" of guns only, fox 2 only, and it might have an arena with both fox 1 and fox 2.

The problem is, I don't usually ever see people on there but if you hop on their discord (https://discord.gg/guY6mmCVSg), you might be able to rally someone to practice fighting with.

Hot starts are rare in most other PvP servers.

Thx for the hint, will try that out!

...and that's absolutely fine! I appreciate the much more realistic flying experience. From a pure training perspective, however, this is cumbersome.

A more suitable "workaround" for the hot/cold spawn topic is to have the agressor aircraft set to immortal and ask the agressor pilot report impacts of missiles and let the agressor pilot just report "lockon" or "fox [x]" if he is in a shooting position.
This requires a buddy pilot though.

@SuperKermit TOViper basically described how we sometimes practice A2A in our squadron 1./JG71 "Richthofen", depending on the training mission. I see you're from Germany, so if you are "the right stuff", you might wanna check us out and get in touch with me. A fair warning, we are not for the casual sim pilot though.
