Boulund Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Hi guys Just wanted to start a new thread here to properly salute DCS Black Shark in all its multiplayer glory. I just had an amazing online game on one of the dedicated servers available to us lowly once-every-now-and-then-gamers. Several players came together, tried their best to communicate their efforts over the chat (since no teamspeak server was known to us) and coordinate our work at decimating the resistance. This game has very few online sim fans that are regular visitors to these servers (or at least that what I've experienced). I'd love to be able to get online more frequently but real life isn't kind on the time investment required to fully enjoy online gaming of this kind. Online gaming with DCS rocks totally and I'm looking forward to seeing more of you guys online during this summer (and my vacation=)). Lets hope for rainy days see you out there Core i5-760 @ 3.6Ghz, 4GB DDR3, Geforce GTX470, Samsung SATA HDD, Dell UH2311H 1920x1080, Saitek X52 Pro., FreeTrack homemade cap w/ LifeCam VX-1000, Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1. FreeTrack in DCS A10C (64bit): samttheeagle's headtracker.dll
JG14_Smil Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 yes, MP is great and the only way I fly BS. I should have met you already, but I have had medical problems that stop me from flying lately (sitting causes pain). The TS servers are very fun too, as almost every person on is from a different country. Mastering the KA-50 and teamwork really bring the sim experience together. Will see you soon.
Panzertard Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009  Boulund. You're right. Without the servers out there I would'nt have been this interested either. Getting the chance to meet people from all over the world and have fun together - and mastering the techniques of this beautiful bird called Black Shark. And it's how I met Smil there, the guys over at 159th and many many others. :) Again - without the community keeping the DCS fed with content I'm afraid we wouldnt see so many people sticking around. I've mentioned it before, but you guys who run the servers, create the missions (oh the pain, only grump old brits are able to persist it), mod for server / online community - you know who you are :) Kudos to you all! The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
