buffdriver52 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 (edited) Hello, Wondering if anyone else is experiencing what I have been experiencing in the missions within the gamblers campaigns. I will do a full INS alignment in chocks prior to going nav mode. But, mostly every mission more specifically missions 9-11 the coordinates that I receive whether it be in the mission brief target study or given from one of the controlling agencies is off. I will use MGRS or Lat/Long, have triple checked the digits and the weapon does not hit the target. I am sure this is somehow user error, but I am not sure what else I could be doing wrong whenever the coordinates are the exact coordinates for the target yet when I release the weapon is does not strike even close to the target. I will also have the TGT pod slewed over the target. Again, this isn't just in one mission, it is in multiple. So that tells me it must be something I am doing wrong beyond putting the exact coordinates into the system. It's just getting kind of old going winchester trying to hit the same dang target and I end up not hitting anything at all therefore affecting the progress of the gameplay. Any ideas? Thanks! razo+r Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Did you also set the elevation correctly? Can you confirm with the TGP that the steerpoint is om target? Did you press CZ? If employing JDAMs, did you lase for at least 3 seconds prior to drop?
buffdriver52 Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 (edited) Yes, elevation and all of the data is input exactly as briefed via the mission brief or what is received via the controlling agency. I will try to verify the target via the TGP once I input the coordinates and when I slew the pod to the wpt that I put in via the coordinates it doesn’t even show the correct target. So, the pod is looking at exactly what I put in. I am not sure what I am doing wrong consistently. Coordinates are correct, TGP looks at those coordinates and it isn’t even the correct TGT, and then I end up having to flail around manually trying to find the TGT when the coordinates were supposed to do that for me. razo+r Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Can you upload a short track? Perhaps an empty mission but with the same coordinates? So we can see if you are doing something wrong or if it's something else.
buffdriver52 Posted February 4 Author Posted February 4 (edited) I played M11 pt 1 again, and from the onset did everything per the storyline. Checked and verified coordinates for the target (the 2nd building) also supposedly pre loaded as wp3 I believe. When in range with the TGP I will TMS aft to put the TGP at what the WP is on and it doesn’t go to the target. I will do nothing, I won’t re-target anything and will release on wp3 (the preloaded coordinates for the target) and it does not hit the correct building. Further in the game we receive MGRS for another target. I will input EXACTLY those coordinates and will TMS aft to look at it, and what do ya know. It’s in the middle of a field not looking at the target. I don’t really know what I could be doing wrong when I play the mission without changing anything and the target is wrong. All other factors such as releasing when I’m supposed to etc are all correct. M11 the first target is JDAM so no lazing involved. Edited February 4 by buffdriver52
razo+r Posted February 4 Posted February 4 We will eventually need a track from you to see what you are doing. The shorter the better.
razo+r Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Fly the mission, and once you are done, exit to the debriefing screen. In the debriefing, you have the option at the bottom to "save replay" or similar. Press that and save the file somewhere, where you can easily find it. Upload the .trk here. Just keep in mind, the shorter the better. If the issue happens 30 minutes into the mission, it's going to be hard to see as tracks could desync, AI do different things and having to watch someone for 30 minutes is not really pleasant. So if possible, try to recreate it in an empty mission with the same coordinates.
