Been tinkering with settings over the weekend to try and improve DCS performance, and the setting that made the most difference for me, for the least impact, was turning off the Terrain Object Shadows.

Ok so you don't get shadows from the thousands of trees and buildings, but do I really notice when going Mach 1 or concentrating on a bogey? No, and the shadows were often pretty janky anyway.

I got enough performance back to use MSAA 4x, and up my PD to 1.4. The game has never looked better for me in VR......

Suggested it to my mate and his non-VR FPS went from 120 to 210 just from doing this.

That seems like a silly trade-off when you’re already getting 120 FPS

For him in non-VR yeah probably - I only added that to illustrate the size of the gain....
