Lixma 06 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 To practice dogfighting I set up missions with invulnerability, infinite ammo, infinite fuel. That way I can experiment with BFM for as long as I want without having to constantly reload the mission after shooting down the enemy or getting shot down etc. The one fly in the ointment is that unless you're point blank range there's no way to know if your rounds are hitting their target. Ordinarily the BDA would inform me of success but against invulnerable aircraft it remains silent. So the wish is for the BDA pop-up to, as an option, register hits against units that have been set to invulnerable.
Nodak Posted February 12 Posted February 12 ACMI range targeting pod that works and could give user feedback on any simulated selected weapon fired all avaliable on the stations panel in sim mode, maybe some day. You could drop all kinds of bombs all day long on a training range single sortie without actually carrying any and keep accurate score by a range officer on a range card. DCS ACMI Range module. Than afterward you could watch your range recorded fights and attack profiles, or watch an entire battle over the range. See it from any aircraft view that is equipped with a pod. Would need a Nellis range and map upgrade, the perfect spot for it. A dynamic campaign would already be half the work, you'd just need it to record and play out non-lethal, with simulated destroyed aircraft changing mode and exiting the range. 2
