Simonster83 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 What is the correct procedure to fly from gold corridor to 302 corridor when coming back from a mission? Do I have to first fly over the bay and then turn towards beginning of corridor 302? I'm getting points deducted but can't understand what is the reason since I've been trying to follow the correct procedures always.
Simonster83 Posted February 13 Author Posted February 13 nullEg. is route over the bay ok (red) or do I need to fly along the coast (blue)? Does this affect scoring?

Simonster83 Posted February 14 Author Posted February 14 Ok, then it's something else why I'm not getting all the points... can it be related to radio calls? I'm not sure if I'm using the correct radio (comm 1 / comm 2), but I do get answers when making the calls.

So long as you're getting responses from approach, arrival and are requesting landing then all radio calls should be covered. You've also got various restricted area/rules to comply with, stick on tower freq after landing and I think you get told if you've broken any of these. If you've not seen it a full scoring guide is available as a PDF on my website, https://www.groundpoundersims.com/vault
Simonster83 Posted February 15 Author Posted February 15 nullI'm missing one of these propably on every mission, but I'm not sure which one. Can you clarify the procedure because I'm doing everything by the book and still getting -3 points every time?

Can you clarify the procedure because I'm doing everything by the book and still getting -3 points every time? They are just as written in the Spins so nothing to add from what's in there. If you can provide a track that might be easier to pinpoint where you're losing points, I'll happily watch through and see
Simonster83 Posted February 15 Author Posted February 15 Just replayed mission 1 entirely and got 97 points. Sadly I didn't save a track, but once again I did everything exactly by the SPINS and also made contacts when told to do so. I'm missing some trigger at some point, maybe it's in the departure? Should I first turn to heading 085 and wait a while before climbing? Now I started the turn and climbing at the same time after departure gives the heading and altitude.
Simonster83 Posted February 15 Author Posted February 15 on arrival I stayed on heading 302 in the corridor at FL150 until told to descend to 3000ft. I was propably a bit further than 10nm when arriving at FALCON but I think I was in the corridor because I flew right past Ceyhan as in the map.

Contact departure at 5 miles, be under 1500 feet AGL and on runway heading. Following instructions then turn 085 and start climbing, you'll get a heading check at 14 miles, so make sure you are on heading, departure will say "continue on 085" if everything correct. Then be at altitude (25,000) by the time you are 30 miles away from Incirlik I believe. 1
Simonster83 Posted February 15 Author Posted February 15 ok, I might have been too slow climbing because handoff has come before I even reached 20000ft. I'll try to climb a bit faster next time. I guess all headings in SPINS are magnetic headings and not true course?
