If i'm currently using the pimax openxr implementation and want to return to using pimaxxr from mbucchia, how do i do that?

Just install PimaxXR and select OpenXR in this app.

I've just noticed (after a reduction of image quality and fps) that FFR is active in Pimax play, but the box is not ticked. Nor can I tick it.
Anyone else see this?

Does re-enabling Pimax play openxr as the runtime allow you to deselect it? I’m not near my computer but I think options like that are essentially locked out when the runtime is changed

Hi all! Looking for feedback on user experience between using the integrated Pimax OpenXR in Pimax Play and using the standalone versions of Pimax XR and Quadviews companion. I noticed with the integrated version the image and FPS are not as good with the standalone. Since I am relatively new to VR, it may be a setting that I'm missing. I can run either way.

Thank you in advance!

I've seen others say that performance (FPS) is similar but you get fewer dropouts (stutters) with PimaxXR than with the Pimax Play version at the moment.  I was going to to revert back to see if  I noticed a difference.

For me, using PimaxXR 0.4.4 along with Pimax Play 1.29 provides much better performance.  On average in my test replay, I get 0.5ms less on GPU frametime, which is quite significant.

Pimax Play with integrated support for OpenXR is not optimized as much as using PimaxXR 0.4.4.

Awesome, thank you! Just curious, why haven't you upgraded to Pimax Play 1.37?

Pimax Play 1.37 not available anywhere.  Where did you get it?  What are the release notes saying?

Fire up Pimax Play, left side select 'Settings',  than turn on the 'Public Test Channel', than hit the 'Check for updates' button top right.  It works now and will offer you the option to update to 1.37.01.01

1.37 still underperforming significantly compared to using Mbucchia's implementation of OpenXR (PimaxXR 0.4.4).  Other piece not performing as well is the quadviews implementation within PimaxPlay with very limited settings (quality, balanced, performance).  Quadviews 1.1.3 from Mbucchia offers much more possibilities and performance.

You can override PimaxPlay 1.37's OpenXR by installing PimaxXR 0.4.4 right after installing PimaxPlay, and then installing quadviews 1.1.3.  And then follow instruction on how to setup a config file for Quadviews to tweek settings and get max performance.

Has anyone seen where ffr is enabled within pimax play while using quadviews, and qv companion, like its doing double duty. I might need to uninstall everything and reinstall with pimaxxr 004, after pimax play, then reenabling qv, then companion.

Pimax FFR can be enabled whether or not you use quadviews/companion.  I would not use FFR along with QVFR, use one or the other, much simpler that way...

Pimax FFR is in device settings/games:
