DarkTempest Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Hi everyone. Just trying to figure out if there's a way to get the F4e's Speedo (or the little readout one on the far left) to display on an MFD on my desk area. Favorite module by far but struggling to get a good control of my speed due to them being so small and in awkward spots. Hence having them displayed separately Just below my monitor would be nice. (I don't have mfd's yet. But deciding if its a logical purchase or not)
Biggus Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I made this a few months ago using an ESP32, a couple of GC9A01 displays and DCS BIOS. 2
DarkTempest Posted February 16 Author Posted February 16 That's awesome. And sums up exactly what I'm hoping to achieve 1
Arecibo Posted February 16 Posted February 16 (edited) Just a couple of things: TAS is only really used for navigation, so not a big deal to plop on the autopilot and zoom in if you need. As for the ASI, even if you can’t see the actual numbers on the knots indicator inside the Mach scale, you should be able to see the bold 50/100 knot markers. So once you’re below 300 knots for landing say, then it’s straightforward to glance down and know how fast you’re going pretty quickly. At least that’s what works for me. When I started flying the F-4, I didn’t even notice the knots indicator inside the Mach scale, so I was having the same issues trying to see the TAS, tucked away as it is.
