REL Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Hey all Is there a way to edit the ka 50 skin directly on a 3d model or at least see it somehow without starting the game? I try to search the forum …. But I couldn’t find if (and how) it can be done with Adobe Photoshop CS4 or Autodesk 3ds Max 2009
evil85 Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 you can edit the skin with 3ds max but imo its easier to edit the skin with Photoshop [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://falcito.proboards.com/
REL Posted July 12, 2009 Author Posted July 12, 2009 Thanks evil85 ... But I meant to ask if it’s possible to edit the skin in a 3D environment so I wouldn’t need to edit the skin blindly and then launch the games just to see if I got it right
joey45 Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 im intrested in this aswel. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. evil85 Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 (edited) yes u can change the skin in 3ds max directly on the 3d model.its possible but imo its easier to change it in photoshop. in 3ds max: you can create UVW clusters and connect them with texture maps. the fuselage geometry that is planar-mapped with the underlying area of the bitmap texture. (UVW clusters) after u can chanche this with photoshop (colors...) like the other members who create new aircraft skins. sry for my english. in german i could explain it better ;) --> The Unwrap UVW modifier is a powerful tool for applying complex mapping to your objects. so u can see in 3ds max if u changed the skin of your 3d model perfectly without starting the game Edited July 12, 2009 by evil85 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://falcito.proboards.com/
