SAkella Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 su-25 Hi Dragon. I want to tell that for me it is the most interesting missions in a network. And i want to ask, can you add su-25 (not su-25t) with bombs payload ( may bee 32 fab 100) to the mission Rookie Terrorists ? I whant it very much ) Thank you.
STP Dragon Posted March 2, 2011 Author Posted March 2, 2011 Hi SAkella, Sorry but I won't do that. Rookie Terrorists is a mission for DCS BlackShark only. The Ka-50s are triggering one by one Bomb-Truck by advancing to the camp. A Su-25 would activate all Bomb-Trucks by one fly over. If you want to fly this mission with a Su-25(t) you should try the mission "Hardcore Terrorists". This mission is the hardcore difficulty version and includes FC2 jets. dok_rp Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Hello Mr Dragon, I'd love to play your missions. I've downloaded them and placed them in the missions folder. However, when I load them, no waypoints are set to my helicopter. Is this the way it's meant to be? My game is updated with the latest patch. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

dok_rp Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Hi dok_rp, Hm... I can't understand that. Every helo should have waypoints. What mission exactly? All of them, actually. When I open the mission planner all I have is an empty map. I tried editing the mission in the Mission Editor, but all the waypoints seem to be on top of each other, and if I delete the aircraft group entirely and create another one, I end up breaking the mission synchronization. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a correct way to install the missions? Thanks again for the help. :)
STP Dragon Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 The missions are protected. Once you opend it in the editor the missions are broken. dok_rp Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 The missions are protected. Once you opend it in the editor the missions are broken. Please download it again and don't open it in the editor. Indeed you are right. I didn't know that even by opening the mission with the Mission Planner to change waypoints I would completely and utterly destroy the mission. Not just waypoints, but unit placement and everything else. What a weird implementation, I must say. Can't think of a use for such a feature. Would that be a way of punishing someone that would like to change the waypoints of a given mission? Never had I seen such a thing. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion. I downloaded it again and it worked, however, I opened one of them again with the Mission Planner and it got corrupted yet again. Will have to download it one more time.

STP Dragon Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 No! Listen: The missions are a gift to the community. There is a german proverb: "Einem geschenkten Gaul schaut man nicht ins Maul" It means: you don't have to check a gift if it's expensive/good quality. The missions are well elaborated and exactly working the way I want it to. Changeing this missions would be disreputable and a disrespect of the copyright law. If the community don't want to accept this behaviour I will delete the download links and remove the missionpack. At the moment it is not possible to protect missions done by the editor of DCS:Warthog. So I will NOT release any missions for Warthog till ED added a valid system to protect missions. I know this is not the way of the community but if there are guys which are not adult enough to let the gift as it is, I don't want to release any missions anymore. I'm not changing the mission in the editor, in the briefing when you start the game theres a little button in the middle of the lower page its called a mission planer, its a green button nothing to do with editing the game or mechanics of your missions.? STP Dragon Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 (edited) Once you saved the mission (by editor or mission planer) the mission is broken. If you want to change your waypoints maybe you can try this in the PVI-800 ingame. I'm not sure but this should work. 71st_Mastiff Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Once you saved the mission (by editor or mission planer) the mission is broken. ah so once you pass word a mission no mater what the pilot has a better or more stream lined route is unable to be flexible? Can't you fly to positions if there are no waypoints? no I can but I have a problem with the AP making my nose point opposite from the direction I want to go I have to turn off the PVI 800 so I can fly straight. I dont remember alot of stuff as I only might fly this once a week. for maybe 2 hours at the most. The pilots log has me at 25 hours thats from having this for 3 years. STP Dragon Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 (edited) Did you ever thought about that some important triggers will not be activated if you don't follow the original route? The missions are very complex so please let them as they are. If this is not possible then it is a pitty and you have to fly other missions, sorry. "Maybe you can give the gift back to the store and get your money back." well as far as I know, Maybe the problem; I just jump in and run and gun and just read the minimums but then again I can do that, cause Its my game, or Sim I paid for. If you want to imply that it's yours then sell your missions like some people are doing but then again I do think that interferes with the EULA. which someone has already on there web site selling mission packs. I for one don't have an issue with you locking your missions. But never understood why people would do that. If to protect your copy rights; I don't see it, its not your game. But no mater; I will read more on your parameters in the missions and won't go into the mission planer. So I can at least see if there is more to it. I just don't read all of the briefing. I just jump in and start playing. and there is nothing wrong in the way I play its my way. I'm after all not that hard core its only a game. Hence the short hours on it. thanks for your time. I just feel like your jumping down my throat for asking. Sorry for asking. STP Dragon Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 If to protect your copy rights; I don't see it, its not your game. This was discussed many times in many topics in many other forums of other games before. Yes it is your game you paid for BUT it is my mission, my work, my time and my copyright if I would sell it or not. But never understood why people would do that. Maybe you have to build missions by your selfe, release them and see how people shit on your work and edit it, to understand that behaviour. I just feel like your jumping down my throat for asking. Sorry for asking. No, sorry... It's just a explosive topic at the moment. My english is not the best. I only try to explain my problem.
