su-27 problem

why does the assigned su-27 see targets 250 km away and immediately start flying at them? his task is patrolling. I only have the su-27 and Tu-160 on the map, and he's trying to attack it, I hadn't noticed such a problem before. and he also has a waiting\duty at the PM.

in the example the SU-27 task is set to fighter sweep, once the bomber is within radar range it is detected and the Su-27 moves to engage.

you could use advanced waypoint action and set the bomber invisible until it reaches a closer waypoint where you want it to be seen and then set it to visible again.
